It’s Time for Your Online Orientation 💻

Going to college is a big (and exciting) transition! We want to make sure you’re connected to plenty of resources and support over the summer to help you prepare. One of your first tasks is to complete your online orientation, which consists of video modules that cover everything from academic resources to student life and dining. It should take no more than three hours to finish, and we’ll save your progress along the way so you can take a break at any time. You must complete your online orientation modules by August 14, 2025 to have your orientation registration hold lifted.

  • Online Orientation Topics
  • Safety and security in the Big Easy
  • Student living and dining services
  • Student health and counseling
  • Loyola technology
  • Introduction to academic life
  • Introduction to your college
  • Student life and ministry

How to Log into Your Online Modules

Go to the online orientation website and click sign in under the “For Students” header. From there, you’ll be prompted to use your Microsoft/SSO username and password to access the online orientation modules. Review this page if you need help remembering your login credentials. For more support, reach out to our Help Desk at support@loyno.edu from your Loyola email address or call 504.865.2255, available weekdays from 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.

NOTE: You must also complete the Online Orientation Acknowledgement in your Admissions Status Portal checklist. Log into your Admissions Status Portal now to complete this important action item!

Optional Parent/Caregiver Orientation

Parents and caregivers are also encouraged to explore the online modules using the parent/guest access on the orientation website. They’ll find a wealth of information about campus activities, academics, and support services for students.

More Parent/Caregiver Resources: Check out our Parent Events page for upcoming programs to learn more about how to support your student as they prepare for college life.

VectorSolutions Student Conduct Training

In addition to your online orientation, you are required to complete mandatory your VectorSolutions student conduct training. You’ll learn how to help create a safe and healthy campus community. Check your Loyola email for login instructions. Failure to complete the training will result in a registration hold on your account. For questions, reach out to studentaffairs@loyno.edu. The deadline for this training is September 12, 2025.

Don’t Forget: Krewe Chats This Week!

You should have already received a message from your Krewe Leader about upcoming Krewe Chats that will take place this week. These are small-group virtual meetings where new students will meet fellow new members of the Wolf Pack, get questions answered, and gain valuable information on how to successfully transition to the university. Krewe Chats are optional. There will be a chat function enabled for questions. If you haven’t heard from your Krewe Leader yet or have questions about these events, please contact Assistant Director of Student Life Tia Teamer at tateame2@loyno.edu or 504.865.3622.

Wolf Pack Welcome

We’ll kick off the fall semester with Wolf Pack Welcome on August 14–17. Because you will cover so many important details, this event is mandatory for all first-year students, residential and commuter.  There is also an optional track for parents and caregivers occuring on August 14 and 15th.  Guests should register for this optional parent and caregiver track here (Students do not need to register as this program is required for all incoming students).

What to expect:

  • Your Krewe Leader will guide you through next steps to prepare for your classes and review the topics you covered in your online orientation.
  • You’ll meet other incoming students and participate in some of our favorite Loyola traditions.
  • We also will have optional programming for parents and caregivers.
Have questions about any of these events or how to prepare for your arrival at Loyola?
