The degree is designed for students who wish to teach applied music at an advanced level. Concentration may be elected in voice, organ, harpsichord, piano, church music, or any orchestral instrument.

Auto/Expedited Admit Requirements
- Any Loyola senior who received a BM or BMT can be admitted into the equivalency MMT program or MM degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Any Loyola seniors who wish to enter the online MMT should have completed their on-campus BMT coursework and be participating in the 6-month internship. Final acceptance to the MMT program is contingent upon successful completion of the internship and passing the BC-MT credentialing exam.
