Saige Berthelot

Second-year Political Science and Philosophy student, Saige Berthelot, was selected as the Institute of Politics Undergraduate Fellow for this year. Each cohort has a Loyola undergraduate seat in the program. IOP is a selective program with roughly 35 fellows in each class. This student is selected based on professor recommendation, academic and political ambition, and an interview process. Saige is pictured with program director Tommy Screen. The mission of the IOP is to locate men and women with outstanding leadership potential, and bring them together in an educational program designed to endow each with a solid foundation in the exigencies of practical politics and government. It is the hope of the IOP to prepare these emerging leaders for entry into public life – as candidates for public office, government officials, citizen activists or as journalists who will cover the political arena.
