Announcing Loyola’s Office of Scholarships and Grants

By Loyola University on Tue, 05/20/2025 - 09:20

Loyola University New Orleans has launched a new Office of Scholarships and Grants dedicated to increasing college affordability by helping students find and secure funding beyond traditional financial aid, including external scholarships, private grants, and donor-funded awards. The office provides one-on-one advising and educational resources designed to help students develop personalized funding strategies and make informed decisions about their college costs.

The office also connects students to Loyola’s new scholarship matching platform called Scholarship Universe. Students who make a profile on Scholarship Universe will be matched with vetted external scholarships tailored to their profile. They will also be able to apply for Loyola’s internal endowed scholarships through one convenient portal and upload and securely store documents commonly required for scholarship applications.

“We know how stressful it can be for students and families to bridge the financial gap in paying for college,” said Mary Musso, Senior Associate Director of the Office of Scholarships and Grants. “Our goal is to empower students to explore all of the funding opportunities available beyond filling out the FAFSA and applying for traditional financial aid.”

All current, incoming and admitted students have access to the Scholarship Universe platform via their Loyola Single Sign On (SSO) and are encouraged to complete their profile and begin applying. Students can also schedule a meeting with the Office of Scholarships and Grants for help accessing their Scholarship Universe account or applying for funding opportunities.
