Find Your Place on Campus
Apply to a Themed Living Community
Find your Pack! Live and learn with students who share your interests, values, and goals. Our Themed Living Communities (TLCs) bring together students around a shared purpose, fostering deeper connections and engagement within the Loyola community. Explore TLCs focused on leadership, academic success, service, and Ignatian values.
TLC applications are available in the Housing and Dining Portal and are due by May 7. Selection is competitive, and not all applicants will be accepted. Honors students will receive separate instructions, as participation in the Honors TLC is automatic unless they opt out.
Notification of TLC selection will be sent out May 13.

Find Your Roommate
College roomies can turn into lifelong friends. Roommate requests can be made by searching for your preferred roommate’s name in the “Select Roommates” section of the “Room Requests & Preferences” tab in the Housing and Dining Portal.
If you don’t have a roommate in mind, you can complete the roommate matching profile and the system will match you with someone who has similar preferences. Roommate Selection is separate from your housing application and must be completed in addition to your application.
Roommate requests are due by May 19.

What to Expect on Move-In Day

Mark your calendar! All first-year students will be able to move into the residence halls between August 10–11. Wolf Pack Welcome will take place August 13–15 to help students kick off the fall semester, and we also encourage your student to attend Wolf Pack Ready to feel prepared for everything coming in August.
During the summer and using the Housing and Dining Portal, you will sign up for a specific date and time to move into your building.
Here’s the general move-in process:
- You can bring up to two people to assist with moving in.
- You’ll arrive at the centralized check-in location on Loyola University’s campus. Details will be provided in your notification email.
- After receiving your check-in materials, you will be directed to an unloading zone in an on-campus parking garage.
- You will be able to unload your car for two hours in a designated parking area.
- After two hours, you will be able to park on an upper floor of one of the parking garages if you need longer to unload.
- Residential Life has a limited number of bins available, so families are encouraged to bring their own dollies or moving equipment.
- If you need an exception to this process, please contact Residential Life after June 20 at reslife@loyno.edu.
Information about sending mail and packages will be sent out with your room assignment email. Residential Life is unable to accept packages for Fall 2026 on-campus students before August 3.

Helpful Housing Reminders
Housing Accommodations
Loyola honors the dignity of each student by offering appropriate accommodations for students with documented and approved disabilities. See Requests for Housing Accommodations to learn more.
|
Planning to Live at Home?
Loyola requires every student to live on campus for their first three academic years. To apply for an exemption, you must submit a housing exemption application. Use this link to complete an exemption application.
With your application, you must also upload additional documentation verifying your exemption eligibility. Submitting an exemption request does not guarantee approval, so we strongly encourage you to apply for housing while your request is under review to keep your options open.
Exemption applications and supplemental documentation are due May 7.
