FreeRegister in advanceIn commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day, there will be a virtual talk by Anne Levy. Ms. Levy is a Holocaust survivor who confronted neo-Nazi, former KKK grand wizard, and Louisiana State Representative David Duke in the State Capitol regarding Duke's denial of the Holocaust. Ms. Levy's exposure of Duke's Naziism and Racism helped to defeat his efforts to run for senator and governor.
Ms. Levy arrived in New Orleans from Hungary and then Poland in 1949, and is an educator and volunteer at the World War II Museum.
"Anne Levy: A Holocaust Survivor Speaks Truth to Power" will be presented over zoom at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022. Attendance is open to the public but registration is required.
