Cookie expert Emily Capdeville (one of Loyola's faculty members in the English department!) will show students how to decorate beautiful holiday cookies. This unique program, led by Loyola historian Dr. Benan Grams, will explore Middle Eastern history and the power of music to connect cultures, preserve historical memory, and inspire collaboration across disciplines.

Join us for a special presentation from Robert Gray Freeland about six of New Orleans' famous statues to Spanish-speaking historical figures, like Benito Juárez and Simón Bolívar, and their relationship to the city, to Spain, and to Latin and South America.

Robert Gray Freeland is a board member of the Friends of the Cabildo, a volunteer organization of the Louisiana State Museum. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Louisiana AMERICA250 Commission.
