It's Carnival Time - in Brazil!

Loyola Jazz Studies major Giulia Coutinho Barreto grew up in São Paulo, Brazil, and has been a successful musical performer in her home country for some time. Giulia will talk about Carnival traditions in Brazil and will perform some of its Carnival music for us in our January edition of Coffee @CIE on 1/28/21 at 12:30 pm.

International students are invited to an American Thanksgiving dinner brought to you by the International Student Association and Center for International Education. Students will enjoy a Thanksgiving meal and learn about the meaning of this holiday that celebrates diversity and kindness.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (sawm) to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran. This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
