The Loyola University New Orleans College of Law’s Student Bar Association is proud to announce its Race Judicata 5k charity walk/run at Audubon Park in New Orleans. The event will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. The race will be followed by a celebration with food, drinks, and entertainment.  

Loyola University New Orleans' Women's Leadership Academy (WLA) through the Office of Professional and Continuing Studies (PACS) and Women's Resource Center (WRC) are hosting its inaugural International Women’s Day event, which will be held on International Women's Day (March 8), 4 PM -6 PM, on Loyola’s uptown campus.

The Forum for Research and Teaching in the Humanities (FoRTH) presents Dr. Sakinah Hofler, of the Princeton Writing Program, discussing her forthcoming novel, "Starshine, Stock, Clay." Situated in Newark, NJ, this novel follows Kiana, a young woman who is a prostitute, the mother-figure maintaining order in a stable (a house where trafficked victims stay), and the mother of a young daughter. For nearly five years, Kiana has been manipulated by her pimp and child’s father, Marcus. As their daughter grows, Kiana must try to find a way out for both of them.

As we enter the Advent season, LIM invites members of the Loyola community and the public to attend a free creation-centered retreat on Saturday, December 3, at 10 am Central Time. This retreat, sponsored by the Loyola Institute for Ministry, is based on the writings and lectures of Passionist priest Thomas Berry. You may attend via Zoom.
