Join us for an important discussion with the ACLU’s LGBTQ & HIV Project Co-Director Chase Strangio, one of the nation’s leading counsels in litigating LGBTQ issues before the US Supreme Court.

Chase has been counsel in some of the past decade’s most pivotal legal fights on behalf of transgender litigants including pivotal cases at SCOTUS. In 2024, Chase became the first openly transgender lawyer to argue before the Supreme Court. He was also counsel in Obergefell v. Hodges, the Supreme Court decision that struck down bans on marriages for same-sex couples.

Join CIE for a CUP OF CULTURE - and a slice of king cake!

The Culture Cup is an international and internationally minded lounge space with FREE coffee and snacks. Our next session will be in the One Loyola Room in the Danna Center (first floor) on Tuesday, February 10 from 12PM - 2PM. 

This session is our annual king cake tasting, featuring king cakes made at various local bakeries in New Orleans. Come grab a free sample or two with your coffee and participate in this tasty Carnival tradition! 

The Loyola University New Orleans Young Alumni Pack invites you to a St. Patrick's themed Thirsty Thursday at Finn McCool's! Registration is free, but please RSVP for headcount purposes. 

Alumni and friends are invited to join the Loyola University New Orleans Alumni Association at the beautiful Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. The Texas Rangers will face off against the Blue Jays on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 6:05 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person. 

The Criminology Department will be hosting a Louisiana Board of Pardons and Parole hearing. This is a great opportunity for students to listen and later ask the board members questions about the process. The event will start at 9 AM and end around 1 PM, depending on the number of hearings scheduled that day. We encourage students to come for as long as they are available, but please enter and exit quietly.
