Louisiana Board of Pardons and Parole Meeting

The Criminology Department will be hosting a Louisiana Board of Pardons and Parole hearing. This is a great opportunity for students to listen and later ask the board members questions about the process. The event will start at 9 AM and end around 1 PM, depending on the number of hearings scheduled that day. We encourage students to come for as long as they are available, but please enter and exit quietly.

Creating a Beloved Community

Join LUCAP for Creating a Beloved Community, an MLK Jr. Day art project that invites participants to reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of justice, unity, and collective care. Community members will paint individual canvases that will be assembled into a shared Beloved Community Canvas Quilt, symbolizing how our unique stories and expressions come together to form something stronger.
