The gala serves as a cornerstone for our fundraising efforts, providing vital support for scholarships and programs that empower BLSA students to excel academically and professionally. Join Campus Recreation and Athletics in a celebration of our physical health through some friendly competition. The inaugural "Iggy Cup" will be held in the Res Quad and will feature a competition between Res Halls, Greek Life, Faculty/Staff, and Commuter Students. In line with the Jesuit value of Cura Personalis, St. Ignatius taught that well-ordered physical exercise and caring for the body are acts of prayer and stewardship that please God and better equip the soul to serve.

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs and the Canizaro Center for Catholic Studies are hosting Dr. Ansel Augustine, a Loyola alumnus and Assistant Director of African American Affairs for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church, who will present "The Black Catholic Experience: A New Orleans Perspective."  He will share his unique take on the many influences that shape his experience, including West African traditions, French and Spanish colonial history, and African American culture.

Refreshments will be provided.

Come learn about the cuisine, culture, and music of Brazil!

Brazil Fest is a fun new event hosted by CIE, the College of Music and Media, the Office of Student Affairs, and Loyola's Latin American Studies department. There are lots of activities and ways to get involved!

During percussion workshops, Dr. Cody Case will teach a few popular rhythms such as samba-reggae on real Brazilian percussion instruments. No experience is necessary and everyone can play!

The Loyola University Black Alumni Society invites you to a luncheon supporting The Expression Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Edgar “Dooky” Chase III. Dooky was the first Black president of Loyola's Student Government Association. Edgar was also a founding member of Expression, the first Black student association at Loyola. The scholarship promotes excellence among Loyola’s undergraduate students by offering meaningful support. Tickets and sponsorships are available.

Moderated by Ana Gershanik and Mayra Pineda, Co-Chairs of LWF's Cultural Committee, the conversation will explore leadership, career challenges, lessons learned, and perspectives on the future—reception to follow. Co-sponsored by Multicultural Student Affairs and Women's Resource Center.
