The Loyola Society for Francophone Cultures will post a table just outside of the Danna Center on Thurs. March 4 to promote its upcoming virtual Tournees Film Festival beginning March 9. There will be flyers and small treats to people who come by.

How can an art form that originated in 17^th-century Europe be reinvented through a cinematic language to challenge familiar narratives and national identities in contemporary Latin America?

This presentation will review the ways in which Early Modern cartography and Spanish-American texts produced geographical knowledge, and how that knowledge influenced the way both colonizers and colonized peoples across the Americas imagined and related to their territory, its inhabitants, environment and resources.

Graduating seniors make culminating presentations that exhibit all the skills and material they have learned throughout their years of studying Spanish and Latin American Studies at Loyola University. 

High school rising juniors and seniors are invited to participate in this institute held on the beautiful campus of Loyola University New Orleans. Through engagement with the relevant sciences and an exploration of Christianity's rich biblical and theological traditions, participants will discern how their faith can help make them leaders in support of creation and environmental justice. They can also earn 3 college credits. 

The cost for the institute is $300.00 Scholarships available.

If you receive a Pell grant and you want to know more about how you can get this scholarship for a Study Abroad experience, this info session is for you. The Gilman is a scholarship specifically for Pell grant recipients to study abroad. This info session will go over basics of the scholarship and application process.
