By Loyola University on Thu, 03/25/2021 - 10:20

(New Orleans, La. — March 24, 2021) The Loyola University New Orleans Student Peace Initiative proudly presents next week the university's 13th annual Student Peace Conference.  Students, faculty, staff, colleagues and friends of the university are invited to enjoy the discourse happening within the Loyola community. This year’s online event is titled “Our Voice, Our Ideas, Our Future: Progressing through a Pandemic.”

“From all the students and helpful faculty involved in the 13th Annual Student Peace Conference, we invite you to this year's online event. We are incredibly proud of all the students participating in this year's event and we invite you to check out our website with detailed accounts of all projects included in each of our panels,” said Loyola student Ember Jetter, Peace Conference Chair.

The annual peace conference, which runs throughout the week of March 29-April 4, is an opportunity for students and guests to further community discussion about hope, renewal and global peace. This year’s weeklong conference organized by Loyola’s students includes keynote speakers, interactive lectures, panel discussions, and student presentations addressing key domestic and international issues, including systemic racism, domestic violence, social inequality, gangs and incarceration, the #MeToo movement, immigration and reform, environmental pollution, women’s rights, political division, political accountability and police reform.
