Interested in spending your J-Term in Bolivia? Come learn more (and grab some pizza)!
Join Dr. Mazhar Islam for an info session about Loyola’s new Bolivia J-Term Program, January 3–14, 2027. This three-credit, faculty-led experience takes students beyond the classroom to explore entrepreneurship, economic development, and culture in Bolivia.
During the info session, you’ll get an overview of the program and travel experience, learn what to expect academically, meet the faculty leading the trip, and have the opportunity to ask questions about the itinerary, costs, application process, and more. Pizza will be provided!
Program Highlights
Applied Learning: Examine how regulatory systems, financial inclusion, and public policy shape business under real-world constraints.
Global Perspective: Compare U.S. and Bolivian economic frameworks while experiencing Bolivia’s culture, communities, and entrepreneurial landscape.
Cross-Cultural Experience: Build international competence through immersive learning in a Spanish-speaking country.
Who can participate?
Open to full-time undergraduate students of any major. Junior standing is preferred, but students of all class levels are welcome.
