An Assessment Approach to Understanding Trauma and Symptoms of PTSD.
Laurel Franklin will be discussing her line of research on assessing trauma and posttraumatic stress symptoms in a veteran population. In particular, her talk will focus on two studies inspired by the changes made to PTSD when the DSM-5 criteria was released.

Laurel Franklin, PhD, is a clinical assistant professor at Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and a clinical psychologist at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in New Orleans, LA. Her clinical and research interests are in the area of assessment and treatment of trauma-related problems, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
