FreeSPECIFIC PHOBIAS IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS: FROM RESEARCH TO PRACTICE
In this address, Thomas Ollendick will be discussing recent randomized controlled trials from his research lab examining the efficacy of a brief, intensive cognitive-behavioral treatment for specific phobias in youth, and review design, methods, analyses, and findings along with a 4-year follow-up. Implications for clinical practice will also be highlighted.
Thomas Hubert Ollendick is an American psychologist known for his work in clinical child and adolescent psychology. From 1999 to 2015, he was a University Distinguished Professor of psychology at Virginia Tech, and the director of their Child Study Center.
