Bio

Scotty Wolffe is the Administrative Coordinator at the Jesuit Social Research Institute at Loyola University New Orleans.  To support her coworkers and the important research JSRI does, Scotty facilitates events, manages the office, and keeps connected with other organizations in New Orleans.

Scotty is from Baltimore, Maryland, a beautiful, historic city that she loves and misses, and finds reflections of in New Orleans.  Like New Orleans, Baltimore is faced with issues like poverty, education, and incarceration, which sparked her passion for prison reform and asset based community development.

During their senior year, Scotty collaborated on the successful “No On All, Y’All” and “No On 3” campaigns for the March 29th, 2025 election, to protect children from being criminalized in Louisiana.  She continues to raise awareness about prison reform and education to Loyola and the broader community in New Orleans.

Scotty graduated Cum Laude from Loyola in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Criminology & Justice.  While in school, she volunteered at local community centers and taught yoga classes focused on inclusive body diversity.  She also proposed research projects on the effect of sensational language on jurors during trials and the efficacy of shared sociodemographic characteristics in peer & individual counseling during the re-entry process.  Outside of work, Scotty teaches yoga, spends time with their friends, and explores restaurants around New Orleans.
