Matthew Swanlund is an adjunct professor at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he teaches Art Law.
Matthew founded the law firm AESTHETIC LEGAL in 2015 upon his fundamental belief that art, design and creativity improve the world and that the creative process needs to be protected and promoted. Matthew is a preeminent intellectual property lawyer for individual artists, entertainment companies, and creative entrepreneurs of all types, providing guidance in copyright, trademark, business contracts, intellectual property licensing, business entity formation, immigration and litigation matters. His clients include renowned artists, entertainers, start-up tech companies, entertainment companies, and bands. Matthew has been published in California Lawyer, Los Angeles Lawyer, and Marijuana Venture magazines and is a guest on national and local news programs discussing legal issues related to art and entertainment.
He is also an adjunct professor at the University of California Irvine School of Law, where he also teaches Art Law.
