Bio
Kimberly Jones joined Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in March 2016 and currently serves as the Associate Dean of Operations and Enrollment Management. As the College of Law’s chief admissions officer, her responsibilities include leading all aspects of the recruitment, admissions, and yield processes for the College’s JD, MA, and LLM programs. Prior to joining Loyola University New Orleans, Kimberly was the Director of Admissions and Multicultural Affairs at her alma mater, University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. That position followed after advancing through eleven years of service in law school admissions.
During law school, Kimberly was elected Vice-President of the Black Law Student Association, UDM Law Chapter; served as a junior editor of Law Review; received trial advocacy and legal writing achievement awards; and, earned several scholastic awards, including a scholarship in honor of The Honorable Beverly Ann Jasper, a distinction for the African-American law student with the highest GPA. After law school, Kimberly practiced law in the area of creditors’ rights and served on the State Bar of Michigan’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Kimberly, a first-generation college and law school graduate, is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Louisiana.
A native of Detroit, Kimberly is happy to call New Orleans her home. At her church to which she and her son are members, she serves as a youth bible study leader, and Foundation Trustee.
