Bio
Faldetta graduated from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. He then went on to earn a Master of Science in Athletic Training from West Virginia University in 2014. Faldetta served as the graduate assistant athletic trainer at WVU for two years.
While at West Virginia, Faldetta served as the athletic trainer with the university’s men’s soccer team. In addition to his men’s soccer responsibilities, he also acted as a preceptor to the undergraduate athletic training students, the coordinator of optometry appointments for WVU athletics, and manager of the weekly team physician’s sports medicine clinic.
Prior to his experience with the Mountaineers, Faldetta completed ATS work with the King’s College football and women’s basketball teams, Wilkes University men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, and women’s lacrosse teams, and Dallas High School (PA) athletic teams. His AT responsibilities included taping, orthopedic evaluation, prevention and diagnosis of injuries, implementation of therapeutic modalities, therapeutic exercise, joint mobilizations, functional testing, and emergency care.
Faldetta is a member of the National Athletic Training Association, Eastern Athletic Training Association and the Athletic Training Society of New Jersey. He received his certification to be an athletic trainer from the national Board of Certification in 2012. Faldetta is also licensed by the Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners as an athletic trainer and the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a performance enhancement specialist.
