Bio

Kate Lintott joins the College of Music & Media as the new Executive Assistant to the Dean, after serving
as the Office Manager in Loyola’s School of Communication & Design for the past three years.

Before coming to Loyola, Kate worked with LSU and the Louisiana Department of Health, where she
trained contact tracers and resource coordinators as part of the state’s COVID-19 response. Prior to the
pandemic, she spent over two decades at a local archaeological firm, first as a field archaeologist
excavating prehistoric village sites and historic plantations across the Southeastern U.S., and later as the
firm’s office manager. In that role, she managed billing, timesheets, field logistics, and was widely known
as the “knowledge holder and question answerer.”

Originally from the U.K., Kate moved to the U.S. in 1986 and earned her B.A. in Anthropology from Texas
Tech University in 1996. She has lived in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward since 2005 with her husband,
children, and dogs.
