Bio
Jared Schoch is the founder and chairman of TurningPoint Energy, a national solar energy development company currently focused on developing community solar power plants across the United States and investing in every community the company works in. Over his career, he has managed more than $3.5 billion of solar and energy efficiency projects working with utilities and communities. Prior to starting TurningPoint Energy, he worked for SOLON Corporation as vice president and general manager of the U.S. power plants business. Prior to that, Mr. Schoch spent nearly five years starting and organically growing SunEdison’s U.S. utility-scale solar development business. He was also a leader in business development at Johnson Controls in energy efficiency, as well as a marketing consultant in the high-tech space during the 1990s.
Mr. Schoch resides in Avon, Colorado with his wife and two teenage daughters and enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and a continued exploration of theology, philosophy and all things spiritual. He holds a master of business administration degree from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver and a bachelor of arts from Loyola University New Orleans.
