Bio
Dr. Deborah Wilhelm is a lecturer in practical theology at Loyola University New Orleans, and Adjunct Professor of Preaching and Evangelization at the Aquinas Institute of Theology (where she co-directs the Delaplane Preaching Initiative). She is the author of Preaching Matters (with Bishop Sylvester Ryan) and of Living the Word: Scripture Reflections and Commentaries for Sundays and Holy Days, Year A (with Thomas Ryan), and has authored numerous chapters and articles for scholarly, professional, and general-audience publications, including co-editing a forthcoming book from Orbis on preaching and racism. She preaches regularly at theWord, a lectionary-based podcast offering daily reflections from the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). She is an active preacher, professor, and workshop/retreat leader; her interests are eucharistic, ecumenical, environmental, and educational.
