Bio

A Louisiana native, Dr. Dawn Broussard joins the Loyola University New Orleans community as Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Student Affairs Officer. Prior to joining the Loyola community, Dr. Broussard served as an Investigator in the Office of Institutional Equity and as the Assistant Director for the Office of Student Conduct at Tulane University. Dr. Broussard began her career in Student Affairs in 2007 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as an Area Coordinator in the Office of Student Personnel. She continued her career in Residence Life and Housing at Nicholls State University and eventually returned to UL Lafayette where she served as an Assistant Dean of Students in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities.

An educator at heart, Dr. Broussard earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1996 and taught middle school for several years before transitioning into higher education. In 2010 she earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration from Nicholls State University and then went on to earn her doctorate (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2019.
