Bio
Prather comes to the Wolf Pack by way of Southern University, where she spent the four years as head soccer coach.
In her position with the Wolf Pack, Prather leads the internal affairs of the athletic department including the operations of the University Sports Complex and game day activities. She also assists with sport supervision, financial operations, and external affairs for Loyola Athletics.
At Southern, the Jaguars won their first-ever Southwestern Athletic Conference championship in 2013 and advanced to the conference semifinals twice during her tenure. Off the field, Prather oversaw and managed the soccer programs annual operational budget and helped spearhead fundraising efforts, which led to an increase of 500% in program annual giving. She served as the program’s assistant coach from 2010-12.
Prather was also responsible for the creation of Southern’s R.R.I.S.S initiative, which served the local communities low-income schools and children.
Prior to her time at Southern, Prather worked as an assistant soccer coach at Southern States Athletic Conference rival William Carey University from 2004-10. During that time, Prather earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Coaching before receiving a master’s degree in Psychology in 2010.
Before entering the coaching profession, Prather had two separate stints in the United States Armed Forces, serving as a stock control technician in the Air Force for three years before taking the role of automated logistical specialist in the Texas Army National Guard from 2000-2004.
