Bio

With nearly three decades of experience in higher education leadership, Anthony Jones, M.Ed., brings an innovative approach to enrollment and a deep commitment to increasing access for underrepresented and marginalized students. 

As the Vice-President for Enrollment Management at Loyola University New Orleans, Jones is responsible for Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, and Financial Aid. Over his 30-year span in and around the enrollment management space, Jones' senior administrative portfolio has included Career Services, Enrollment Services and Solutions, Enrollment Systems, Military Affairs, Student Account Services, Student Life, and Student Success and Retention.

Along with serving at Loyola, Jones has served as Director of Global Diversity at the Convergys Corporation and led talent recruitment for INROADS, Inc. as the National Director for Recruitment Services with clients including Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and IBM. Pertaining to the Higher Education industry, he has also overseen enrollment as Vice-President of Enrollment Management at both Fisk University and DePauw University, and Associate Provost/Assistant Vice-President of Enrollment Management at Howard University, and Vice-President of Enrollment Management and Student Experience at Bethune-Cookman University.

Jones has appeared on news outlets such as ABC Good Morning America, NBC Washington, and Fox News Los Angeles; and been quoted in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Forbes, Los Angeles Times, US News & World Report, University Business, HBCU Digest, Parent Magazine, HR Executive Magazine, India Management Magazine, and Ebony. To help individuals maximize their life experiences, Anthony has also published the book and workbook, Success by Design: Becoming the Person You Were Destined to Be.

Jones is a member of the Board of Trustees for The College Board and has also served on the Boards of such organizations as Mercy Health Partners Hospital System, Leadership Ohio, Tommie Lewis, Sr. Scholarship Fund, and Illuminate Leadership Institute. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of College Admission Counseling and past Committee Chair for the National Association of College, Deans, Registrars and Admission Officers.

A Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Fisk University, Jones holds a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University, certification in Diversity Management from the University of Houston and currently completing his doctoral studies at Florida State University, with a concentration in Higher Education Leadership and Policy.
