Inspired by St. Francis’ deep reverence for the natural world and his recognition of all creatures as part of God’s beloved creation, this special gathering gives thanks for the animals who share our lives and bring us companionship, comfort, and joy.

Bring your pets, large or small, to receive a special blessing and join our community in celebrating the gift of creation. All people and their animal companions are welcome.

Join us for a special observance of the Transitus of St. Francis of Assisi as we commemorate the 800th anniversary of the passing of St. Francis and honor the enduring witness of his life and faith.

The Transitus, meaning “passage” or “crossing,” is a sacred Franciscan tradition that remembers St. Francis’ journey from this life into eternal life. Through prayer, Scripture, music, reflection, and remembrance, we will gather in gratitude for a life devoted to Christ, marked by humility, peace, care for creation, and love for all people.
