Bio

Rachel Shur is a Westerfield Fellow at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. After receiving her J.D. from Yale Law School, Rachel worked as public defender with the Orleans Public Defenders and as an Assistant Federal Defender for the District of Connecticut. She also served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Angel Harris of Orleans Parish Criminal District Court. Her scholarly interests include constitutional and procedural topics in criminal law, incarceration and punishment issues, and the intersection between scientific and social scientific disciplines and the law.
