Bio

Jaylynn Thompson (she/her) joined Loyola University New Orleans’ Career Development Center in August 2025 as the Student Talent Coordinator. Previously she worked at a local nonprofit promoting career-connected learning in New Orleans high schools. Through supervising interns there Jaylynn discovered her passion for helping young adults step confidently into the professional world.

Born and raised in Brookhaven, Mississippi, Jaylynn moved to sweet Baton Rouge after graduating high school in 2016 and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business with a minor in Dance from Louisiana State University in 2021. By June of that year she was living in New Orleans, a city she has loved since 2012 and knew she wanted to call home forever.

Jaylynn has been recognized for her professionalism by the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, which invited her to serve as an ambassador. She has proudly held this role since April 2024.

Outside of work Jaylynn enjoys baking with cupcakes being her specialty and dancing around the city. A lover of being outside, she often explores New Orleans’ parks and enjoys discovering new restaurants.
