Bio

Brent Godfrey is a Westerfield Fellow at Loyola College of Law. Brent’s academic interests center around community and economic development, leadership education in the legal profession, tax policy, and trusts and estates. While in law school, Brent worked as a summer associate at Cravath, Swaine, and Moore LLP and as a policy intern for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Before law school, Brent founded and led Crescent City Corps, a non-profit organization that delivered anti-racist leadership development training to first responders. He also worked as a firefighter with the New Orleans Fire Department, served as an officer in the United States Navy, and led wilderness expeditions with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Brent holds a BA in History from Yale College and a JD from Yale Law School.
