Bio

Joining the Admissions Office in 2023, Allyson LaBruzza is a New Orleans native and alumna of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Allyson received her Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy with Honors (’13) from the main campus after completing a thesis in bioethics with former University President Father Kevin Wildes. She then earned her Juris Doctor (’16) and a Health Law Certificate from Loyola Law before becoming a member of the Louisiana Bar later that year. During her time at Loyola Law, Allyson was an oralist/brief writer for the First Amendment Moot Court Team, a Teaching and Research Assistant for the Lawyering I & II Courses, a Rule XX Clinic Student Practitioner, as well as a published member of the Loyola Law Review. After graduation, Allyson clerked for the Honorable Bernadette D’Souza in Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans before beginning private practice of her own in various areas of civil litigation. Most recently, Allyson worked for Southeast Louisiana Legal Services in the Eviction Defense Department for Orleans Parish.

As an Admissions Counselor, Allyson primarily concentrates on the application process as a whole—overseeing the receipt and flow of law applications throughout the admission cycle. She also represents Loyola Law across the nation at graduate fairs and law school forums. As a local alumna, she is thrilled to communicate her passion for Loyola Law and experience in New Orleans with law applicants. You can schedule an appointment with Allyson, or any of the Law Admissions Team, by viewing her calendar here.
