Iggy's Cupboard

Iggy's Cupboard was opened November 13, 2018 as the official university pantry to address the issue of food insecurity on Loyola's campus among students, faculty, and staff. Our cupboard provides non-perishable food items and other essentials to any member of Loyola's community that may need a little help. The cupboard is operated by Student Life and Ministry (SLAM) and the Student Government Association.

Location: Lower Level of the Danna Student Center.

Hours: Monday through Friday (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and Sat - Sun (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
Subject to change due to university scheduled holidays.

Donations

Donations are accepted in the Cupboard, the Student Life & Ministry office, or bins around campus.

One time or recurring monetary donations are accepted here.

Iggy’s Cupboard confidentially provides food and other essential items free of charge to any Loyola University New Orleans’ student, staff, and faculty that may need a little extra help. 

Danna Student Center Lower Level behind the SGA Hub and across from the Magis Lounge.

Iggy’s Cupboard is open Monday to Friday (9am - 10pm) and Saturday to Sunday (10am - 7pm). Hours and days of operation are subject to change due to scheduled university holidays.

Please go to the office assistant or the evening building manager seated at the front desk of the Student Life and Minsitry office located in the Lower Level of the Danna Student Center.

Any student, staff, or faculty of Loyola University New Orleans can use the cupboard.

The cupboard is stocked with non-perishable food, hygiene items, and other essential items.

Yes. All resources in Iggy’s Cupboard are free of charge.

Yes. All cupboard workers and volunteers will be trained on confidentiality and required to sign a confidentiality agreement to keep every cupboard guest’s identity confidential.

Yes. You will get a shopping bag to fill upon entering. We ask that you place food items and non-food items in separate bags. When you are done shopping, you will need to weigh food items and non-food items separately to log in the received donations log book.
