Lead the Pack
Here at Loyola, we believe everyone has the potential to be a leader. Through our leadership programming on campus, you will have the opportunity to live, learn, and breathe leadership! Whether you choose to attend a workshop, become an executive member of a student organization, or participate in one of our leadership programs, Loyola offers the chance to create your community and challenge yourself to grow.
SLM offers numerous campus recreation programs that allow you to live an active lifestyle and improve your personal wellness. There are a wide range of sports and fitness programs for students—competitive and non-competitive, organized and informal, group and individual, virtual and in-person. You can also get your sweat or swim on at the University Sports Complex, just keep in mind our new guidelines for a safe and socially-distanced workout.
Enhance Your Commute
Our commuter students have many ways to stay active on campus! Spaces and places like Satchmo’s and The Hub/SGA provide a space for recreation, student performances, gaming, and just taking a break. The Commuter Student Association coordinates events like a weekly trivia night, and Commuter Assistants act as a guide for commuter students to navigate campus life successfully.
Loyola University hosts 14 Greek organizations with rich traditions of brother and sisterhood, philanthropy, service, and academia. Learn more about how to join Sorority and Fraternity life at Loyola and don’t miss recruitment events coming up for on-ground and virtual students!
Find Your Fit
One of the best ways to enrich your collegiate years is to join clubs and organizations that fit your interests. With more than 130 student organizations on Loyola’s campus, you’ll find plenty of ways to get involved. Browse HowlConnect to explore organizations and events.
Food insecurity among college students is becoming a national social justice issue on college campuses. To ensure that our community has equal access to the food that they need to be healthy and productive, Iggy’s Cupboard provides students access to non-perishable food, hygiene items, and other essential items.
You don’t have to be physically on campus to experience the Loyola community. Our virtual engagement opportunities will keep you active and connected. Explore faith offerings, virtual events, and fun ideas for how to stay entertained from home.
Find Your Spiritual Center
Christian Life Communities are our Ignatian-based life and faith sharing groups that meet weekly and help students find God in all things (in whatever way they understand God to be). Most students say that they become like a family on campus, and are a place to recharge and reflect during the busy week. Both in person and fully virtual options are available for CLCs. Register to join a CLC by tomorrow, September 10!
