LOYNO Master Plan: Student Success Center

Subject line: Success on Your Terms

Sent: June 28, 2023

At Loyola, we care about your success. That’s why the Pan-American Life Student Success Center is one of the busiest offices on campus. Within the Success Center, you’ll find different departments to help you access the resources you need.

Career Development Center

Our team is here to assist you from day one as you work toward your career goals. As a graduate student, you can work with a career coach to help you gain a better understanding of your interests, personality traits, and values and how these factors help inform your career. The Career Development Center can also help with interview preparation, networking, job and salary negotiation, and LinkedIn. Graduate students may also be eligible for Federal Work Study. Connect with employers and workshops through our career services platform called Handshake

Jobs on Campus: Loyola also offers a variety of paid graduate assistantship opportunities on campus! Reach out to the office or program you’re interested in working with to see if they have any available positions. Many offices hire for positions before the start of the semester.

Office of Writing and Learning Services (OWLS)

OWLS can help you sharpen your writing skills and receive feedback on papers or projects you’re working on for your graduate program. You can submit a draft for tutor feedback and receive constructive criticism to help make your paper stronger. OWLS also offers a wide range of writing guides, covering everything from grammar and writing style to sourcing and documentation.

Office of Accessible Education

The Office for Accessible Education (OAE) is here to help if you’re eligible to receive accommodations for course materials, programs, dining, and housing. To make sure your accommodations are in place when you arrive at Loyola, schedule an appointment with your Accessibility Counselor this summer.

Let’s Meet!

The Student Success Center is located on the first and second floors of Monroe Library. We are accessible remotely through video conferencing, phone, and text message.
