Wolf Pack Wednesday: Get Ready for Online Orientation

Going to college is a big (and exciting) transition, but we’re going to connect you to plenty of resources and support to prepare. One of your first tasks is to complete our online orientation program, which consists of a number of video modules that cover everything from academic resources to student life and dining. It should take no more than three hours to finish, and we’ll save your progress along the way so you can take a break at any time. You must complete your online orientation modules before the start of the spring semester to have your orientation registration hold lifted.

Online Orientation Topics

  • Safety and security in the Big Easy
  • Student living and dining services
  • Student health and counseling
  • Loyola technology
  • Introduction to academic life
  • Introduction to your college
  • Student life and ministry

How to Log into Your Online Modules

Go to the online orientation website and click sign in under the “For Students” header. From there, you’ll be prompted to use your username and password from your Single Sign On (SSO) portal to access the online orientation modules. We emailed your credentials in case you forgot—look for the subject line “Access Your Loyola Accounts Now!” in your inbox. If you have problems with your username or password, check this page, reach out to our Help Desk at from your Loyola email address, or call 504-865-2255.

Optional Parent/Caregiver Orientation

Your parents and caregivers are also encouraged to explore the online modules using the parent/guest access on the orientation website. They’ll find a wealth of information about campus activities, academics, and support services for students.

Everfi Student Conduct Training

In addition to your online orientation, all new students must complete the required Everfi student conduct training—an online resource for alcohol, drug, sexual violence prevention, and diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Based on scientific research, you’ll learn best practices to help us create a safe and healthy campus environment for all members of our community.

How to Log In:

1. Check your email for your invitation. You will not receive this email until the second week of January.

2. Open your email invitation and start your courses.

3. Complete your courses in their entirety before February 10, 2023.

If you have questions or encounter problems, please contact Student Affairs at Failure to complete the training by the deadline will result in a registration hold on your account.

Krewe Chats

Did you know: You have a Krewe Leader who is a current student at Loyola dedicated to preparing you for life at Loyola! Towards the end of next month, your Krewe Leader will communicate with you weekly through email and Krewe GroupMes.

New Student Resource Guide

In addition to our online orientation, we recommend that you download our 2022 New Student Resource Guide for specifics on all things LOYNO. From where to find a particular office on campus to academic support services, you’ll find it all in the guide.

Advising Support

It’s very important that you complete your Academic Advising and Involvement Interest Survey in your Admissions Status Portal so that your advisor can create your draft schedule. Once you complete your survey, it usually takes your advisor about two weeks to create and reach out with your draft schedule for further discussion.

If you have any questions about the survey or advising process, please email the following according to your college:

College of Music and Media

College of Arts and Sciences

College of Business

College of Nursing
