Bio

Dr. Andrew S. Denney is an Assistant Professor of Criminology and Justice. He received his bachelor’s in Sociology and History with a minor in Criminology from Western Kentucky University. He earned his master’s and his doctorate in Justice Administration from the University of Louisville. His research focus includes institutional corrections, offender re-entry, faith-based programming, sex offending, and sexual deviance. His research appears in the following academic journals: Deviant Behavior; Criminal Justice Policy Review; Journal of Criminal Justice Education; Criminal Justice Review; Corrections: Policy, Practice, and Research; American Journal of Criminal Justice; Children and Youth Services Review; Journal of Qualitative Criminal Justice and Criminology; Justice Policy Journal; Journal of Applied Measurement; International Journal of Police Strategies and Management; and Religions. His current research projects include correctional officer injuries and the experiences of registered sex offenders that are students in institutions of higher education.
