Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff reports directly to the President of the university and serves as a key strategic adviser to the President. In this role, the Chief of Staff interfaces with all aspects of the university, including marketing and admissions initiatives, legal issues in connection with the General Counsel, and academic and entrepreneurial programs. The Chief of Staff also leads the process of creating procedures that can continue to grow and develop as the university transitions beyond Project Magis.

Biography

Lesli D. Harris, Chief of Staff, is a nationally recognized lawyer and expert in intellectual property and an active public servant in New Orleans. Prior to joining Loyola, she was a partner at Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann L.L.C., a law firm in New Orleans.

Lesli was named the national 2018 Sports and Entertainment Lawyer of the Year by the National Bar Association for her work with the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, National Football Association, and the National Basketball Association. She has taught as an adjunct professor of law and speaks frequently about cyber security, copyright, trademark, and entertainment law topics.

Lesli grew up in rural Ohio, graduated from the University of Virginia and Tulane Law School, and has an LL.M in Trade Regulations from New York University.
