William Barnett II
Welcome to the personal webpage of William Barnett II.
William Barnett II is Professor of Economics and Chase Bank Distinguished Professor of
International Business in the College of Business, Loyola University New Orleans.
He is also an Adjunct Scholar at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. He earned a
B.B.A. in economics from Loyola University New Orleans in 1967, a Ph.D. in
economics from Michigan State University in 1974, and a J.D. from Loyola University
New Orleans in 1982. He has published over 50 articles in scholarly refereed journals
Barnett maintains two research databases on two of his areas of expertise: money, credit, interest,
and business cycle theory; and the use and misuse of mathematics in economics. You can use the links below
to go to either of thse two research databases. These databases are intended for use by students and faculty
alike, and will be useful to any researcher interested in these topics. If you have any questions concerning
