Faculty Information

Are you a faculty member who would like a chance to enhance and broaden your outlook on your role in education? If your answer is "yes" or "maybe," then join your colleagues and explore the opportunities of Service Learning. Faculty support is the most important reason Service Learning programs succeed, followed by community and administrative support. Service Learning as part of your curriculum is NOT mandatory and certainly is not for everyone. But to those who want to explore and expand as teachers, Service Learning can serve as both an intellectual challenge and a call to personal and professional growth.

Service Learning is a promotion and implantation of community service as a means of improving teaching and learning to the benefit of students and the community which they serve.

Should you wish for Dr. Carol Jeandron, the Service Learning Director, to speak to your class or help in any other way, please call and she will be happy to discuss Service Learning with you.
