Resources Loyola Music Ed |
The Loyola Music Education department is a branch of the College of Music, and we're pretty impressive. We have seventy students and we work harder than most other majors believe possible. We have an active chapter of MENC, the Music Educators' National Convention. There are two kinds of Music Education majors: Instrumental and Choral/Elementary. Dual specialization is not offered at this school, and I am pretty sure that trying to do it would drive anyone absolutely crazy. Both branches study general music education and look at education at elementary as well as secondary levels. We maintain high performance and academic standards. Faculty and Advisors The head of the Music Education department is Dr. Janice Cusano. The advisor for choral students is Dr. Meg Hulley-Frasier. The advisor for string students is Professor Dean Angeles. The advisor for other instrumental students is Dr. Joseph Herbert. Coursework The required coursework for this major is listed and described here.
