LIMEX Information Session Questions and Materials and Admissions
For Information Session questions contact Cecelia Bennett at cbennett@loyno.edu.
Application Packets are found on the LIMEX web page www.lim.loyno.edu/extension, they may be downloaded, printed and filled in. If you are out of application packets, please email lim@loyno.edu and request that some be sent to you. Please provide a mailing address.
Students and liaisons may once again mail all application materials (application, statement of educational purpose, resume, letters of reference, official transcripts in sealed envelopes). Please follow the instructions on the enrollment (application) packets.
The Information Session Video is available on a DVD (we have a few VHS left). The LIMEX administrative liaison already has a copy for use locally. This is not a new video; the ones you have been using are still current. Please email lim@loyno.edu if you need a replacement copy.
The LIMEX promotion packet is found in the facilitator [liaison] section under “Documents for Liaisons” on the LIM documents web page: www.lim.loyno.edu/extension/documents.
LIMEX Orientation Session Questions and Materials
For Orientation Session questions contact Cecelia Bennett at cbennett@loyno.edu
The learning design for the Orientation Session is found in the Course One “Introduction to Practical Theology” Facilitator’s Manual. Facilitators received a copy of this at their Course One Certification Workshop.
The Orientation Session materials are found in the student section on of the LIM documents web page: www.lim.loyno.edu/extension/documents. The Policy Manual and Guide to Written Theological Reflection are found under manuals; the Learning Agreement under general forms; and, the registration forms in the facilitator [liaison] section under common curriculum registration forms.
Before the session, please print up copies of the Learning Agreement for the students attending the session and a set of registration forms to use at the session.
During the session, give to students the student sign on information for the LIM Documents web page so they can access the Policy Manual and the Guide to Written Theological Reflection. Please give this only to those students who you know have completed and signed the LIM enrollment two-sided application, and who you registered on the LIMEX roster during this session.
The Orientation Session Video is available from the local LIMEX liaison. This is not a new video; the ones you have been using are still current. Please email bkingdon@loyno.edu if you need a replacement copy. It will be sent to you as a DVD (we only have a few VHS left).
For registration questions contact Cynthia Lee at clee@loyno.edu.
LIMEX registration forms (roster, class schedule –the materials order from information has been folded into the class schedule form) are to be emailed as attachments to limexreg@loyno.edu.
A tip on saving the Word files and the information you have typed in. After you enter in the requested information, under the “File” pull down-menu click on “Save As,” and then rename the form using the last name of the facilitator, the sponsoring agency, the course number i.e., Course 5, and the name of the form, i.e., Roster. Saving the forms with these new names also will help us on this end. In the subject section of the email please put: the facilitator’s name, sponsoring agency, and course title. Please keep a copy of the completed forms for your records.
Students are asked to pay their tuition (by credit card or e-check) using the LIM web page, www.lim.loyno.edu/extension. This is a secure site. Parishes and diocesan offices may also use this link to pay their portion of a student’s tuition. In addition to the student’s name you will need to know the student’s social security number or campus wide ID number. (If these agencies will not pay by e-check or credit card, we currently recommend that the checks be Fed Expressed to the LIMEX office.)
Students now receive bills from Student Finance for any unpaid balances on their tuition accounts. The system will automatically block the next semester’s registration if there is an outstanding balance on the student’s account. This includes those portions of tuition being paid for by a second party.
Students can find out their campus wide ID numbers, and check on and track their accounts by logging onto LORA https://lorasec.loyno.edu/. Instructions on how to use LORA are on the Loyola web page and in the LIMEX Policy Manual.
Once the LIMEX registration forms (roster, materials order form and class schedule) are received as WORD attachments, the following will be sent to facilitators by email:
A web link http://www.loyno.edu/~mcmahon/hurricane.html and password for the course materials. Using the link and password, facilitators and the students will be able to download the print materials for the course.
The group’s adjunct faculty assignment.
The LIM course videos will be mailed to the facilitator. (We will be phasing in a DVD replacement for these VHS and PAL videos.) If you have not received your course videos by one week prior to your first meeting, please contact Bonnie Kingdon at bkingdon@loyno.edu.
Focus Course Registration and Materials
Registration rosters for the focus courses are found on the LIM download web page. Please follow the link.
A special roster has been created for each focus course. Please register all the students taking that same focus course on the roster for that course.
Email all the completed rosters to limexreg@loyno.edu. (So, if there are three different focus courses being taken by group members, you will email three rosters.)
After the rosters are received, you will be emailed a web link and passwords for the focus course print materials. Using the link and passwords, facilitators and the students will be able to download a specific course’s print materials.
Students will be emailed their adjunct faculty assignments and mailed the focus course DVD and CD’s.
Mid Course Reports, Facilitator Invoice, and Group Life Issues
The mid-course report and facilitator invoices may be emailed as WORD attachments to Ellen Casanovas at ecasanov@loyno.edu or faxed to 504-865-2066. In the Re: section of the email/fax please put, midcourse, your last name, sponsoring agency, and course title. Please keep a copy of the completed forms for your records.
The mid course report form and all facilitator invoices are found on the LIM documents web page www.lim.loyno.edu/extension/documents in the facilitator [liaison] section under common curriculum session five forms. The focus course invoices are found under focus course document and the Discernment process invoice is found under Discernment Process. Please send all invoices and forms as WORD attachments, NOT Adobe Acrobat.
ALL the requested information must be completed on the invoice. Incomplete invoices will not be able to be processed, and will be returned to facilitators.
For any questions or concerns regarding group life, please email Cathy Zeph at cpzeph@loyno.edu.
Adjunct Faculty, Papers, Writing Tutor, Library, and Grades
Once the facilitator’s email with the groups’ registration forms are sent to limexreg@loyno.edu and received, the facilitator will be emailed the adjunct faculty assignment for the group. The facilitator and the adjunct faculty will arrange for the adjunct faculty phone call as they are currently doing.
Students may fax to 504-865-2066 or email their papers to the writing tutors as Word or RTF attachments to limtutor@loyno.edu
Many library databases are available for those who are doing research. Students may email Trish Delnero at distlib@loyno.edu for URLs and passwords.
At the end of the course, facilitators are to mail all the student papers and forms to the adjunct faculty and may now begin to mail the paper work that is normally returned to Loyola to the LIMEX office. Please keep a copy of the completed forms for your records.
Students are to put on the cover sheet of each course paper, their email address, phone numbers (with area codes) and full mailing address.
Extension requests and grade appeals may now follow the normal processes. Second extension requests are to be put in writing and emailed to Bonnie Kingdon bkingdon@loyno.edu, or faxed to 504-865-2066, or mailed to the LIMEX office.
For evaluation procedures and adjunct faculty assignment questions, facilitators may contact Bonnie Kingdon at bkingdon@loyno.edu.
Instructors of Record may be contacted by email for course content issues.
Discernment Manuals and the Focus Area Resource Guide are posted on http://www.loyno.edu/~mcmahon/hurricane.html and may be downloaded by facilitators and students. A password is needed. The Discernment password will be emailed to facilitators with the Course Four materials password. Please give this password to the students before the Discernment process is held.
Facilitators who have finished their Discernment Workshop are to contact Bonnie Kingdon at bkingdon@loyno.edu for a copy of the new discernment video at least two weeks before their group’s Discernment process. It will be sent on a DVD.
Facilitators may mail their groups’ decision forms, schedules and their invoices for their stipends for the Discernment Process and the Focus Courses to the LIMEX office or email the forms to Ellen Casanovas at ecasanov@loyno.edu.

Communications
Communications will be posted on the LIM emergency web page http://www.loyno.edu/~mcmahon/hurricane.html and will also be sent through the LIM list servs. There are three list servs that send broadcast emails out to three LIM constituents.
Some email service accounts require that you register the address as acceptable to receive email from this address. AOL, especially, will often bounce emails sent from this address. If you are a member of this list you may send email to this address limexliaison-list@loyno.edu and it will go out to all the liaisons. If you received an email from the list and you want everyone on the list to receive a reply, you may reply to all and your reply will go out to all the liaisons. If you just do reply, it will go just to Cecelia Bennett
Students are not able to reply to all on this listserv. In order for LIMEX students to receive email from this list serv they need to use their Loyola email address. You may look up your Loyola email address on LORA and check your Loyola email on the Loyola home page. http://www.loyno.edu/ (web mail). Your password has been preset as your birth year and month. The directions for LORA are found in the LIMEX Policy Manual and on the LIM web page. www.lim.loyno.edu/extension in resources for students.
