Welcome to LUGS
The Loyola University Gaming Society strives to provide a social context and resources
for the playing of non-electornic role-playing games, such as Dungeons and Dragons,
Alternity, WarHammer, Heroscape, Magic the Gathering, and others. Membership is open
to anyone interested. Please see one of our members or e-mail president Stephen Ware at
sgware@gmail.com about membership.
Charter Woes Finally Over
After way too much red tape, we are finally an official organization. Now we can officially
use our room in Monroe and next semester we can apply for funding. We'll be having out first
official meeting early next semester--probably early September--to elect officers and
discuss the budget. We'll also collect dues then, which are still $20.
Evil Alternate Race Campaign
Anyone interested in playing in next semester's evil campaign should design a character
and speak to Stephen about a spot. Alternate playable races only... effective character level 9.
If you've seen the slideshow preview, you know what you are in for with this exciting campaign!
I'm looking forward to finally DM'ing an evil campaign.
Meeting times will be the same as for my other campaign as long as everyone is still available.
Wednesdays and Sundays at 10:30 pm.
Jesus has considered starting a foil campaign that would run simultaneously in the same setting.
If you're interested, speak to him. Running two simultaneous campaigns in the same world,
one good, one evil, would be fun and would, inevitably, end with a confrontation between the
two parties.
Alternity Campaign?
Justice is talking about starting an Alternity Campaign, depending on how busy his schedule is.
If you're interested or have ever played an Alternity game, talk to him.
End of the Minuous Campaign
Well, the Minuous Campaign is finally over! And what an ending it was. I threw everything I
had at them, but they still defeated Victor and his henchmen. The campaign turned out to be
exactly the right length, and even thought it was a little high-powered for my taste, I know
the players enjoyed it. Save your character sheets... I have an idea for a sequel, so you never
know when you might need them!
