Teaching Experience

As a faculty member at Loyola, and while on the faculty at other academic institutions, I have taught a wide variety of courses in the Mathematical Sciences.  In addition, I served as Director of the MST-Mathematics program from 1993-1997. This program offered masters degrees in mathematics with an emphasis on education for teachers at the secondary school level.

Undergraduate: College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus I,II,III, Loyola Honors Math, Intro. to Higher Math., Advanced Calculus, Complex Variables, Differential Geometry, Non-Euclidean Geometry, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra I,II ,Probability, Topology

Graduate: Algebraic Topology, Dynamics and Chaos

Conducted graduate seminars:  Dynamical Systems, Characteristic Classes, Three-Dimensional Topology.

Previous to earning the Ph.D. degree, while a Peace Corp volunteer, I taught Mathematics, Statistics, and Math Education in a teacher training program.  Including the supervision of student practicums in teaching.
