Beekeeping Course

Beekeeping is the art, business, and science of rearing bees for production of honey, beeswax, and propolis. In this 5-day course participants are introduced to practical aspects of beekeeping. The topics covered in the course include basic bee biology, appropriate beekeeping equipment, apiary management, major and heavy nectar producing plants (bee plants), pest and disease control, honey processing, storage and marketing, and uses of honey and cinnamon with HIV/AIDS in mind.
