Green Chemistry in Education Workshop

This workshop is for undergraduate and high school science educators in the state of Louisiana with an interest or

background in green chemistry. The workshop can  accommodate 12 participants and six slots are reserved for

individuals from 2-year colleges and high schools. Educators

from minority institutions are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be selected by the organizing committee based upon merit and ability to implement the material covered in the

workshop.

July 31 — Arrival and check-in during the afternoon and evening


Aug 1 — Welcome and introductions/Lecture on Green Chemistry and Curriculum Reform

Hands-on Experience with Green

Chemistry Laboratory

Experiments.


Aug 2 — Hands-on Experience with Green Chemistry Laboratory

Experiments.


Aug 3 — Green Chemistry Success Stories by Invited Speakers.

Check-out and Departure during

the afternoon.

Participants

There is no cost to attend the Green Chemistry in Education Workshop. Accommodation will be provided by Loyola University New Orleans Residential Life located on campus and meals will also be included. Travel assistance up to

$200 for workshop participants will be awarded

in the form of a stipend.
