On what had the Nazi blamed the defeat in WWI? What purposes did the propaganda movies serve? How successful was the propaganda? What type of government was Vichy France? Why had the Vichy government cooperated with the Germans? What percentage of Frenchmen joined the resistance? When did an active French resistance begin to assert itself? When did British production surpass Germany's?  Who lost more people to bombing, the British or the Germans?  What role did the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) play in the war effort? In Britain, how was the standard of living affected by the war? Why was the Labour Government supported in Britain after the war?  How did the Russian government portray the war? What measures did Stalin undertake to encourage Russians in the war? Why were the Soviet Union and the western allies fundamentally at odds? How did they manage to cooperate? What factors ultimately dashed Roosevelt's hopes for continued cooperation with the Soviet Union? In October 1943, what fundamental commitment did the Allies make to each other? What was decided at the Allied meetings in Tehran, Yalta and Potsdam?  What was Stalin’s main goal?  What was his main fear?  Why was Roosevelt willing to compromise in a manner similar to Wilson in WWI?  How had the democracies contributed to the outbreak of WWII?
