Yes, you've heard friends talking about and yes, it's finally here. We are thrilled to announce that our new Thursday location is open at the American Can Company at 3700 Orleans Avenue in Mid City. For directions, log onto the American Can Company web site

Day: Thursdays
Time: 4-7 p.m.
Location: American Can Co. Apartments, 3700 Orleans Ave. (between Bayou St. John and North Carrollton Ave.)

Vegetables: Tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, green tomatoes, creole tomatoes, carrots, green onions, green garlic, green bell peppers, kohlrabi, oriental spinach, salad mix, baby red kale, kale, collard greens, brocolli, cauliflower, arugula, hydroponic lettuce, mustard greens, redsail, greenleaf and romaine lettuce, mustard greens, radishes, diakon radishes, sweet potatoes, shelled and whole pecans, roasted and boiled peanuts, Fruits: Louisiana strawberries, satsumas, navel oranges, grapefruit, kumquates lemons. Seafood: Shrimp, gumbo crabs, Des Allemands catfish, oysters, picked crab meat, stuffed crab, fish fillets. Poultry: Fresh yard eggs, quail eggs, dressed broilers,quail, guinea hens, pheasant.
Dairy: Creole cream cheese, whole and skim milk, cream, ricotta cheese, ricotta salada, jalapeno cheese. Baked Goods: Foccacia, rustic breads, chocolate chip cookies, ginger cookies, rum cakes, stuffed breads, scones and biscuits, Flowers: Lucky Bamboo, lavender, orchids, gourds, herbs, annuals, ferns, summer bouquets, sunflowers, zinnias, begonias, hanging baskets. Assorted: Remoulade sauce, pepper jelly, herbal vinegars, bee pollen, jams and jellies, pestos and chimichurries, fresh pasta, honey, green onion or Italian sausage, native wines, basil oil, garlic chive oil and rosemary oil.

Mayoral Crawfish Race featuring seafood legned Al Scramuzza as Master of Ceremonies. Come by and root for your favorite mudbug candidate. The Matoral Race will be preceded by The Crawfish Super Bowl . It's the NFL vs. the AFL, starting at 11 a.m. The Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board's mascot Crawfish Cleo will also be there to make sure that all participants run a fairly clean race and that the losers will really end up in hot water. Also at 10 a.m. Slow Food champion Poppy Tooker will be our guest chef as she will prepare endangered local delicasy Crawfish Bisque for all to enjoy.
