Requirements for Law 898.
This course is designed to allow the student an opportunity to study a
narrow subject in depth under the supervision of a full-time faculty member with expertise
in the subject area. Appropriate written documentation pertinent to the study is required,
but the course does not necessarily entail a single research paper as is the case with
Legal Research (LAW 898). This course is only graded on a pass/fail basis and may
sometimes involve working for an outside agency (i.e., an extern program),
with general supervision and evaluation by the designated faculty member. A student must
be in good academic standing and receive the permission of the associate dean for academic
affairs to register for this course. This course cannot be used to satisfy the writing
requirement.
