Charlie received a BA in Communications and Drama from the University of New Orleans in 1980. He worked nearly 10 years in the retail inventory/facility management field, then spent six years in the insurance industry prior to joining the Loyola Physical Plant staff in 1996.

As Director of Facilities Systems, he manages the department budget, supervises operation of the Physical Plant storeroom and inventory database, and tracks all departmental expenditures, including major capital projects and all university utility costs.
